I tried to search for a face that could best resemble anger. What I saw were many grins, snarls and faces of fury, but none of them best resembled the anger that sits deep inside of us. The anger that sets our minds alight with thoughts that when said out loud can scare the living shit out of us. What I found was this tiger. A looks of intense focus and with a face that almost seems emotionless. Intense anger can cause this inner fury. If we sit with it to long it can warp our thoughts into something we can only describe as demonic. The issue here is that these thoughts can affect the way we do everything else in our lives. Anger needs an outlet. Mine in this case was intense physical exercise. Arms exhausted from the chaos of my subdued thoughts, heart pounding from the power that was created and sweat pouring trying to cool the fire that had broken from within. That moment taught me one thing, that this could have come out in a different way, perhaps to a loved one, a friend or a complete stranger. Having an outlet is so important. What is yours?
