Depression and Suicidal thoughts can keep holding us down struggling to breath at times. So how do we escape?

Many years ago I started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and much like depression and anxiety, when you’re flat on your back with someone crushing the air from you, it seems as though there is no way out. …
You have 2 options. To lie there and submit or to try to control your breathing and think and wait for the opportunity to escape!

The difference in the two scenarios is our thought pattern. One we think there is no way out and the other is to find a way out. …
So what has this Brazilian Jiu Jitsu got to do with anxiety, depression etc?

Well, aside from being a great physical sport the though patterns are similar

So when we feel that our back is on the mat in our head we can ask ourselves simple questions like

“What do I want to do before I die!”

This can spark our creativity and help us focus on what we really want or need to do as opposed to focusing on the weight upon us. …
You’ve got this mate 🤜🏻🤛🏾🤼‍♂️
